In 2026, after a long career of having a dozen books published by traditional publishers, I decided to GO INDEPENDENT and start my own publishing company. I called it URSULA BOOKS because "ursula" is a female bear, a symbol of strength and fortitude; both are qualities I admire and will need for this venture. The name also reflects my devotion to strong female characters, both straight and gay, and generally my novels are read by women.

The name was also inspired by spending the summer of 2025 in the mountainsof Asheville, NC, where I enjoyed visits by black bears and their cubs almost every day. I came to love and respect them.
